Behind The Wheel You sit high in the Qashqai, so get a commanding forward view, while two-way steering wheel adjustment and a driver’s seat that can be cranked up and down make it easy to get comfortable. The seats give plenty of support, too, and the dashboard is logically laid out. Equipment All models are well kitted. Entry-level Visia cars come with air-conditioning, alloy wheels, four powered windows, rear privacy glass and a panoramic glass roof. Step up to Acenta trim for climate control, a CD autochanger, parking sensors, cruise control, and automatic headlamps and wipers. Next is n-tec, which swaps the parking sensors for a reversing camera, while range-topping Tekna models have full leather upholstery, heated seats and keyless entry. Quality & Reliability The Qashqai’s interior feels a cut above many rivals'. Dense, soft-touch plastics cover the upper dashboard, and the fit and finish are superb. What’s more, all the switchgear works with a nicely weighted action. Nissan has a great record when it comes to mechanical reliability, and we see no reason why the Qashqai should change that.
